Systems and Services
All architectural firms provide a plan service, some might provide a way to e-mail or fax small copies to your home or office. At Steve Nyhof Enterprises we have taken advantage of the technology available to us today by offering services through local and Internet systems that give you much more to offer your customers. These systems have all been developed in house, specifically designed to enhance a production type system and to give you tools to better help you serve your customers.

Through the years, we have continued to add services to help builders sell more homes. We have learned long ago that our success isn't just about getting our name our there, but promoting your company every way possible.

One of the ways we do this is by placing all your drawings on your company title block.

Other ways include on-line name recognition. When production plans are used for your customers, your name, e-mail address and web site url is displayed as the builder for that plan. See our Plan Search library for examples.

Other ways we work to promote your company is through your web site; with the Home Listing page, Favorite Plans page, Plan Search, Plan Center and with the Task Manager we are currently putting together. You can learn more about these service by clicking here. A few of these services are listed below with brief explanations.

• CAD solutions
  • All our house plans are drawn on the computer. That means we do what ever it takes to manipulate the entities of your plan design until it is exactly what you want. I have spent over 16 years programming our CAD system to automate many of our tasks and reduce errors. Bottom line, there is not a system in service today as specifically designed for home building and focuses on helping home builders look really good to their customers.
• Expansive Database system
  • Our database is the center of all we do and offer. This database has been designed by Steve Nyhof and life long friend and programmer, Steve Veele. This database collects and organizes all our contact and house plan information. The data can then be organized for reports, searches, displayed on a web site, etc.
  • Our check list is designed into our database and includes about 5 pages of questions to help insure that the plans we produce are accurate. Before we run through the check list, we select the drawing number which includes the builders code and adds additional specific details our builders request that is unique to that builder.
    
• Plan Center
  • Our Plan Center is similar to systems found only on large industrial web sites.
• All of the plans we draw for you can be accessed from the Plan Center.
• You and your customer can view and print your home design just by logging in from anywhere in the world. This has become very useful for builders and customers who live far away from our office. We have business relationships with builders we have never met in person.
• You can order all your large format copies (blueprints) from the Plan Center.
• The Plan Center page can also be attached to your web site.
• Plan Center and Sub Contractors
• A list of your sub-contractors can be available to choose from to e-mail small copies or have large copies mailed out.
  • Small copies do not cost anything to e-mail, and you can also include a note.
  • Large copies can be picked up or mailed to a list of sub-contractors and yourself.
• Plan Search
  • The Plan Search page was designed first as an online house plan library for prospects to access, view, print and order.
  • We added a new link that shows child and parent plans that are similar and related.
  • We later added a way for builders to access completed plans to be ordered through the Plan Center for bidding purposes. A nice way to save on plan costs while pricing out a home for a customer.
  • The Plan Search page can also be attached to your web site.
  • We can setup your Search page so it shows our plans and the ones we draw for you. We can also set it up so your plans do not show up on other builders search pages.
• Review, Construction and Successive Package Licenses
  • When you have your plans drawn though us, you can save hundreds of dollars on your next plans by using an existing plan from your folder. We also offer competitive prices on all our production house plans. Click here for more information.
    

The Contact Form
When you are entered into our database, you will be given a code and a password. If you have a web site you can attach the Plan Center, Plan Search and Developments web pages to your web site. These are all free services to help promote your company through better marketing and more sales. We are in business because you sell homes. Developments
We can add the plans you have us draw for you into the Developments form. You will need the Developments web page set up on your web site for this to work. Sample

We can add your sub contractors to our database and include them on the Plan Center. See the demo for more information on sending plans to your sub contractors. Sample

Plan Search and DWF CAD file access
Whether you access the Plan Search from our site or yours, as a builder you have access to many of the house plan DWF files. These files are complete and can be ordered for bidding purposes only. You pay for blueprint costs only.
  

Drawing File Storage
The builder code becomes a folder on our hard drive where all the plans we draw for you is stored.
